Cheap Ass Vegan Eats is a new vegaroo feature where we write about – you guessed it – vegan finds for those of us who are minding our wallets. If you’ve got a hot tip on thrifty vego food, let us know in the comments!

Sushi Hero (not to be confused with Hero Sushi) is a little shop on Darlinghurst Road in King’s Cross (or Potts Point if you want to make it sound fancier) in Sydney. They have a whole bunch of vego sushi! One with tofu, one with asparagus (the two pictured above), plus avocado, mushroom, and more! And the best part is that they are $2 for a substantially sized roll!!

That is a bargain if ever I’ve heard one. Two pieces were a substantial enough lunch for me. Where else can you eat lunch out in Sydney for under $5? That’s not a rhetorical question. Seriously, tell me! Until you give me the scoop I’ll be gorging myself on nori and veggies.  Sushi hero is the hero of my heart! Or my stomach! Same difference, really.
